Open a tab and the project is where you left it — every edit autosaves into the project history. IEC 60617 and NFPA 79 symbols, orthogonal wiring on a millimeter grid, terminal strips with levels and jumpers, cables with per-core color and cross-section, and cross-references that follow a contactor across pages.

It covers the panel, not just the schematic: 2D layout pages place footprints, DIN rails and ducts to scale, with balloon numbers derived from BOM order so the layout and the parts list cannot disagree. When the library falls short, edit a symbol in place — or let the AI draft one and review it like any other change.

Every AI action is a reviewable proposal — a diff of concrete schematic operations with its electrical-rule-check impact computed up front. Apply it or reject it; either way the decision lands in the changelog.

Documentation your customer can accept.

The PDF export is a complete drawing set: cover sheet, clickable table of contents, schematic pages, BOM, cable schedule and graphical terminal-strip drawings — one linked file with a navigable outline. The layout is fixed and tested; there is no template designer to maintain. Sections you don't need switch off per project.

Shop-floor data comes out the way the floor consumes it: wire, cable and terminal lists as CSV, and label-printer files for wire markers, device tags and terminals. For design review, a read-only share link replaces the PDF-by-email round trip — clients pin comments on the drawing itself, no account needed.

A .wirepilot file is a zip of documented JSON — schemas published under CC BY 4.0, with conformance fixtures. Read it with any tool, script it, diff it in git.

Hand work over in the formats people expect: linked .pdf with a navigable outline, AutoCAD-strict .dxf, and AutomationML exchange with TIA Portal and EPLAN. Deterministic where it matters.

Wire numbering, device tagging and label placement are deterministic — the same project produces byte-identical exports, pinned by tests. A layout engine gives every label room, so wire numbers never sit on crossing wires. ERC runs before any proposal is applied.

Freeze a named revision before anything goes out. Diffs are semantic — elements, not file lines — and revision clouds on the drawing are derived from that diff, not sketched by hand. Restore snapshots the current state first, so a rollback can never lose work.
